Dear Sidharth,

This year so far, has been no less than a roller coaster ride being a Sidian, there was excitement, happiness, satisfaction, helplessness, disbelief BUT one thing that has & will always be consistent being your fan is the Pride we have ! And no this does not come from an unwarranted attitude or smugness we have; it's because of the actor & the person you are :)

I am reassured of my fine choice of favorite actor with every interview I read, every event I follow and with every film I watch ! 

The fact that you make sure none of your 2 movies seem remotely similar to one another right from the beginning is commendable. The risks we take do not always result into milestones, but it's the sheer willingness to take risks that sets special apart from ordinary !

AND you are extremely special! Not only because you are a famous public personality, but also because of....
your pure and unadulterated demeanor;
your focus and giving it your all approach towards work;
your not taking anything for granted (not even your breathtaking looks) but being ever so grateful attitude;
your skills & talent AND your desire to acquire more skills with a continual progression;

My 10 Reasons to Baar Baar Watch #BaarBaarDekho!

So its been a while since a SidM blog was posted, so as we embark on the countdown for his latest release here are my Top 10 reasons to watch AND rewatch ( Baar Baar people! ) #BaarBaarDekho  




1. A solo hero release for Sidharth after June 2014!
Not that we did not enjoy his last 2 films, but it's nice to have a film rest on his shoulders as far as the male lead is concerned ! 

2. Music
#KalaChashma has broken all possible records is no secret, however it is one of the best wholesome music albums by far! Ask people which is your fav song and you would get different answers, so it isn't one popular track but some really good listening for your ears ( AND stunning visuals  ) all through the six songs!

3. A fresh Concept !
The unanimous first reaction after seeing the trailer people had was, 'wow, this wasn't expected, it's different & intriguing'. It raises your curiosity level and has those amazing moments clubbed together making it a trailer worth #BaarBaarDekho

4. A journey through 3 different age groups!

It is a wonderful job done on the looks because you can make out the teen, slightly younger Sid & Katrina, present day look and the "I am 46??!!! " look   It's not over the top and very much believable 

5. Math obsessed Jai Verma 


I love maths and it is amazing to see Sidharth play a Maths professor! How he relates and expresses his life in equations is really fascinating and novel ! Instead of the heavy & deep words to describe love, he plainly puts it as Jai + Diya = Love - To the point !

6.Sidharth + Katrina = Chemistry
 I have seen a lot of people having apprehensions, doubting if the chemistry will work or not but then if you scout for #BaarBaarDekho media articles everyone is talking about their crackling chemistry ! If you still have doubts check out the #JaiandDiya Love moments 



7. The most handsome 46 year old you'd ever find!
My personal fav moment from the trailer is Sid's superb reaction to the 2034 date! Khair Mangdi is my favorite video song so far, no prize for guessing why! He looks and emotes so beautifully even when he is covered with prosthetic ! 

8. The entire cast including Rohan Joshi!
After Hasee Toh Phasee, this ensemble looks really promising ! Katrina looks smashing! Ram Kapoor, Sarika, Sayoni Gupta AND Rohan Joshi !! I am really interested to see what role is the wisecracking AIB member playing! 

9. Clever promotional strategy !
You have to give it up to the marketing team for the unusual strategies they have used and gripped the audience attention ! Releasing a song which had full potential of being a chart-buster before the trailer, a roundtable for trailer launch, Jai and Diya moments, releasing songs of completely different nature back to back...it's all working remarkably !

10. Sid says it's his best work so far ! 
THIS is THE reason to go watch this movie BAAR BAAR for me ! I believe in Sidharth, he is very genuine about the things he talks about and I can see he is confident, more than being nervous he looks excited to see how people receive this film! He looks relaxed and at ease with the character he is portraying which makes me a proud fan as always!!

Here's hoping this movie brings "Jai" at the BO and it stays with us with a want to #BaarBaarDekho!

Living the Kapoor Family Journey!

Starting from the start, #KapoorAndSons was a title that did not register or connect when it was announced. The trailer was good but people still had apprehensions esp comparing it to Shaandar. The first song released gave it a bit of typical Dharma tagline & people starting calling it yet another love triangle.



But Surprise surprise.. K&S is nothing you could probably predict start to end. No, nothing exceptional about the story-line however the moments are new, fresh & relate-able like no other family film has! What I personally loved the most is it deals with taboo subjects so tastefully! The topics are such that can easily trade in to cheap, mock-worthy or insensitive path, but here they are handled with finesse 

The narrative is gripping where you do not get a dull moment to even look at your popcorn tub! You see people yelling in the trailer, but nothing and I mean it absolutely nothing is over the top when it comes to reacting to simple, ingrained or tough problems. Everyone delivers a performance which is believable & identifiable including the plumber  :)

Coming to Arjun!( Yes you will forget you are watching Sidharth & start living Arjun's journey) Right from his introduction I could relate to his journey, being the younger sibling to an almost perfect elder sister I have gone through my phase of inferiority complex, reckless reactions & yet finding my own feet. 

Arjun is chilled out & does not let go off any opportunity to show his fun side, loved all his scenes with his bro & dadu where you can confidently say he's the only one to have inherited Dadu's fun side! At the same time you feel his pain of being the neglected child, someone who is trying his best to not just stand on his own feet but also get appreciation for who he is! He does not express his problems out loud, however his eyes tell you his story :) 

The twinkle in his eyes when he finds the one with whom things just "fit" together will reaffirm how good he is as at romance. When he sheds a tear, please keep the tissues handy as you will invariably end up crying with him! 

Being your fan I had eyes only for you, however did not have to make any special efforts to concentrate on you, the ease with which you said your dialogues, the expressions when you felt neglected or enjoyed pulling your brother's leg, the love in your eyes for the ones you love made Arjun memorable & left me wanting for more!

Looks like just like Arjun, Shakun Batra too got some advise to have a happy ending because people come to see stories which end on happy notes however he did not leave even one family moment to look like it was part of a filmy story! It is as real as it can get where you will identify with the characters, look for your story in it & in the end realize family is everything! Its all about loving your family without trying to find idealism in anyone!
